Hand #1: T9o
I said it in game that this was likely a bad Ace X hand but I thought our hand might be alrigh as a bluff cather in this formation. Solver does not agree although we are not losing too much as a call.
It’s one of our worst TX that we have here.
Hand #2: 55
BB donk on turn makes no sense. If we leave our range unlocked on turn then we are supposed to raise our entire range.
If we nodelock to pure call then we raise everything except A high on river. This is probably safe to do on all runouts that don’t FDC.
Hand #3
It’s a mistake for BTN to r33 here. Should be a big bet/x strat. Against r33 we should be overcalling, folding only our suited connectors.
Against a more appropriate big bet we should be folding out much more of our range. Folding 46% vs only 13.5% vs range bet.
Hand #4
Should be folding our 66-44 with no spade on flop.
Interestingly on river we lead a lot of our range – pocket pairs for value. If we miss that we’re actually making EV through a shove.
Hand #5
In theory where 2x pot shove on turn doesn’t exist we’re supposed to call with TT. In practice we’re weighting villain to have mainly value and at best SOME A5s and AK. Vs that range it’s a losing call and I think overall it’s fine to fold TT here and call JJ+.
Hand #6
Interesting spot. A decent flop for us but an unfavourable turn and river. Our TT without a club fold out on turn and we have a pure fold on river. The turn spot is interesting because the overall equity of TT is still decent at 44%, the EV and realization are poor.
Hand #7
Here we should be folding on flop. We have much better hands to continue with and we’re playing against someone who has zero bluffs.
Hand #8
Here I thought I could upgrade my bluff catcher because of the polar nature of BB v BTN 3BP. In theory there are plenty of bluffs in BB range but at NL50 probably not as much and we can pure fold our hand. This sizing and formation are not as wide as I thought and we can downgrade our bluff catchers. Even in SRP this would still be a mediocre bluff catcher.
